
However, this was seen as an interruption - at least by the disciples. They tried to shoo the kids away - wasn't there a Children's Church they could go to so the adults wouldn't be bothered while they listened to Jesus?
Jesus wasn't a proponent of sending them off to hang out with kids of their own age (after all, he had hung out with the teachers and elders in the temple at the ripe old age of 12). But he didn't stop at welcoming the children and blessing them; he turned to the adults in the crowd and told them they needed to be like the children.
