Being imprisoned is undoubtedly frustrating and usually leads to focused dreams and determination to get free. That's where we'll be picking up The Story this Sunday: the Israelites have been enslaved in Egypt for over 400 years! But God's UPPER story plan is still at work and He has a jail break plan He's ready to put into action - one that is WAY more spectacular and unexpected than even the most clever animal in the video!
But, when it really comes down to it, we're all in need of a jail break. Our prisons don't always have physical bars, but that doesn't mean they're any less debilitating. As you read chapter 4 of The Story (Exodus 1-17) take some time to consider how you need God to set you free. He's more than capable and ready to do it!
I hope to see you this Sunday, October 5th!
- The Women's Soup Supper Event is taking place on Friday, October 17th. Sign up in the church Fellowship Hall to let the planning team know that you're coming and if you are bringing a guest (please do!) as well as letting them know if you plan on bringing some soup to share. Contact Erin Putnam for more info.
- Mandy Schmekel would love to put together a team to plan and carry out our Trunk 'r' Treat event in the church parking lot on Halloween evening. Please let Mandy know if you're willing to help pull off this wonderful outreach to our community.
- Danielle is working on a new Church Directory and she needs you updated info. You can email your info to her at mvccc@centurylink.net or fill out a Connection slip and put it in the offering.
